Safety videos for working at height

The talks offer expert advice on using a number of work-at-height equipment. Each runs for roughly ten minutes and include an internet test in order for viewers have understood their content.

Different AIF member organisations address different issues. The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) talks about planning an emergency rescue using mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) and about preventing entrapment using a MEWP; the Ladder Association explains the right way to inspect a ladder; the Association of Technical Lightning & Access Specialists (ATLAS) offers best practice guidance for steeplejacks: and Fall Arrest Safety Equipment Training (FASET) discusses the upkeep and test requirements of safety nets.

AIF director Neil Tomlinson said: “These talks come from industry-specific experts, with every member organisation well versed inside the issues concerning their fields. Previous Toolbox Talks have proven particularly effective in allowing contractors and clients to take care of up to now with the most recent industry developments, and these videos are useful to anyone who works at height.”
