‘Best of the best’: CN Specialists Awards 2013 winners revealed

Cantillon picked up the development News Special Award during a night of success and celebrations on the Construction News Specialists Awards 2013.

Nearly 700 of the UK’s leading specialist contractors gathered on the London Hilton, Park Lane to celebrate their excellent achievements during the last year.

Cantillon was named “best in class”, winning the CN Special Award in addition to the award for Health & Safety Excellence and receiving a highly commended in its specialist area, demolition.

Construction News editor Rebecca Evans praised the achievements of all who were shortlisted, highlighting the standard of the finalists and their passion for what they do.

“We have had a huge choice of entries this year. Making the shortlist, being here within the Hilton tonight, is a big achievement in itself,” she said.

“Being a finalist tonight puts you well and really at the map – and you’ll highlight that achievement locally and nationally that will help you win work, as such a lot of of our shortlisted companies have done before. 

“Winning your category means you’ve not just written an amazing submission, but that you’ve conveyed your achievements – and convinced a panel of the folks that actually matter – that you simply truly are the highest of the simplest,” she said.

Winners, finalists and judges celebrated late into the evening on an evening that highlighted the suitable the industry has to present.
