The Future of Diesel-Powered Vehicles
Diesel engines have been the fuel of choice for construction vehicles for decades. However, with recent government pressure, along with the ever-rising price of diesel fuel things are beginning to change.
Diesel fuel is no longer significantly cheaper than gasoline. In fact, it costs roughly the same amount of money to fill a diesel vehicle as it does a petrol one. This alone is a big reason why many are considering switching to the quicker petrol engines. It’s also why there is a great deal of pressure on diesel engine manufacturers to step-up their game.
There is a constant need for diesel technology to improve. The UK Government wants to see lower emission producing diesel engines being used. This has resulted in specialised catalytic converters, advanced filters, and other devices to be implemented to cut down or destroy toxic emissions. Which in turn has put even more pressure on diesel engine manufacturers.
